Uwe Hochgeschurtz

Uwe Hochgeschurtz is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Opel Automobile GmbH. He has been managing the traditional automobile manufacturer Opel since September 2021. Before that, he was CEO Renault Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Born in Cologne, he is also a member of Stellantis' top executive team and reports directly to Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares.
Hochgeschurtz can look back on more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. He started his career at Ford in 1990, where he held various management roles. For example, he was Sales Director for Ford Switzerland and Product Manager and Head of LCV Marketing in Germany. In 2001 he moved to VW as Head of Worldwide Marketing LCV. Three years later he moved to Renault, where he worked in sales, marketing and product management before being appointed CEO of Renault Germany in June 2016.
Born on February 27, 1963, the enthusiastic cyclist studied in Germany (Wuppertal & Cologne), Great Britain (Birmingham) and France (Paris Dauphine) and has a master's degree in business administration and management. Hochgeschurtz is married and has three children.

Ralph Wangemann has been Managing Director Human Resources and Labor Director of Opel Automobile GmbH since January 2019.
Wangemann started his career with General Motors / Opel in 1998 when he joined the company as personnel officer for the Aftersales division. He went on to hold various management positions within HR in Germany and Austria. Most recently, he was the Deputy Head of HR Opel/Vauxhall / HR Director Germany and Labor Relations.
Ralph Wangemann was born on April 2, 1970 and studied law at the Julius Maximilians University in Würzburg.
